How are we keeping the business safe?

The safety of our staff and customers is paramount, so we’ll be putting some social distancing and hygiene measures in place. We have also installed a door intercom system to assist with safe social distancing as we have a small reception and can only have one customer in reception at any one time
We have always used disposable seat covers, floor mats and worn disposable gloves whenever we had a need to move or test drive your car. All these protocols will remain and be supported by the use of a sanitising agent on all driving controls and driver’s door handle when the vehicle enters the workshop. Once the work is complete, instead of providing a complimentary valet we will wipe with sanitising agent; all driving controls, door handles front and back, inside and out, bonnet catch inside and out, boot lid button and handle and all seat belt buckles and all catches or adjusters in the vehicle. At this point your vehicle will remain untouched by us and you will be the first person back in to it.

There will be no refreshments on offer but you’ll get the friendly welcome and high quality service you expect.

What is the procedure when I arrive at Sportstech and how is my car safe guarded?

When we take your booking we will agree a time window for arrival and collection of your vehicle with you.

When you arrive, outside reception will be a table with hand sanitizer and gloves if you require them. Please press the button on the intercom which will announce your arrival for drop off or collection and we will ask you to come in or wait for a moment if we already have a customer in reception. We will do our very best to keep any waiting time to a minimum but we are sure you understand we will not compromise on social distancing due to our small reception area.

As usual you will be greeted by the lovely Carys who will be behind a Perspex screen which offers further protection.

If your vehicle has keyless go then your key will be placed in a bag for the duration of its stay with us and only re opened when you arrive to collect it. If your car does not have keyless go your keys will be placed in a bag and will be only opened by the technician who will wear new gloves, with your keys returned to you in a new bag and only opened when you return to collect.

As described above, your vehicle will have disposable seat covers floor mats and the technician will wear fresh gloves for each vehicle in the workshop, followed by a sanitised wipe of all areas which you would naturally touch or hold even on an occasional basis.

Vehicle collection

Please adopt the same process as when you dropped the vehicle off. Use the intercom as a means of announcing your arrival and Carys will let you know when you can enter.

If you are able please settle your account by card however if your means of payment is cash then can you let us know in advance.

If we are collecting your vehicle from home or work we will observe all the social distancing rules. We will also have with us all the necessary protections described above before we depart.
